Introducing the Pickup-O-Matic (and Insult-O-Matic). Available at the main store in Egremont, these two scripts pull from a very large database of pickup lines and insults, and return one to folks in the area, or at your command.

These products also have hooks in so that you can trigger an insult or pickup line from your own script. Integrate insult and pickup functionality into all of your products. Why? Because you can. Welcome to the metaverse.

AstroDucklings are young and impressionable, and cannot be upgraded with extensions such as Breath Fire or Remote like their larger siblings. Transfer is enabled, so they make fine gifts.

The Core Vendo Networked Vending System is available and already in use in several locations throughout Second Life. If you have a bevy of mall stores and are tired of updating each vendor every time you add an item, this is just the ticket.

I wanted to try my hand at writing a networked vendor, and it seems to have worked pretty well. See the client/server vendors in action at my main store in Egremont as well as Patagonia and the Promenade Mall.
All vendors are served by the same objects tucked away on my office desk.

Nifty!

I plan to clean things up, smooth out the rough edges, test the heck out of 'em, and then release them as a reasonably priced product. If you're interested in beta-testing free of charge, let me know.

Annoucing the ChickenGun

Core Chicken & Waffles is proud to announce the latest in poultry based weapons systems. The ChickenGun combines the natural aggression of the modern domesticated chicken with the high acceleration of an electromagnetic rail gun, mixed in with a bit of high explosives to create the deadliest, or perhaps just the most amusing, weapon in Second Life today.

When armed, you can fire a high velocity chicken bullet, or lob a baby AstroChick grenade toward your target.

Available in Egremont, and at finer web based Second Life catalogs.

Announcing the AstroCat and the AstroKitten

After many requests, I've now released the AstroCat and the AstroKitten. Based on the AstroChicken software, these are scripted, rideable, cute kitty cat pets in Second Life.

All AstroChicken upgrades work with the AstroCats, so yes, your cat can in fact lay eggs. How many eggs can your other cats lay? I thought as much.

Come on by Egremont to see some in action. As always, let me know in world if you have any questions, comments, bug reports, or suggestions.

Announcing AstroChicken Version 1.3

Version 1.3 of the AstroPet software has been released. Come to Core Chicken & Waffles in Egremont (in Second Life, natch) to get your free software update, or a brand spakin' new pet.

Made some fixes to the upgrading system, sound playing, the menuing system with more than 12 commands, and other incidental fixes here and there.

Announcing AstroChicken Version 1.2

Version 1.2 of the AstroChicken software is now available. If you have an earlier version of the software, swing on by Core Chicken & Waffles to get your updater.

Updates are available for the AstroChicken, AstroDuck, and AstroRooster.

This version has many small fixes and optimizations. The most obvious bug fixed is if your pet bird is in "Follow Owner" mode, and the owner sits on it, the bird will now switch to "Stay" mode so as not to initiate the spinning rodeo of doom bug exhibited in previous versions.

To upgrade, click on the spinning magic ball in the Core Chicken & Waffles main store. Select the type of bird you have, then collect your updater. Find a quiet spot free from other AstroPets, rez the updater, rez your AstroPet you wish to update, and click the updater.

Your AstroPet will come out of the experience faster, stronger, better than before. We have the technology.
